This exceptional piece is an authentic 19th century antique cabinet. Based on the style we feel this piece is originally from the Ning Bo province. The use of two-toned woods is a traditional approach. The darker wood appears to be single panel rosewood, highly prized and desired by the Chinese throughout Chinese history. The cabinet is elaborately decorated with exquisite bone inlays. Butterflies and birds swirling in trees in full bloom symbolize great prosperity and happiness. The cabinet consists of two separate parts with the top portion consisting of a shelve with 2 drawers and the bottom with a double door. The doors swing on round wood pivots that are held in place with beautifully carved projections This piece is a splendid focal point in any room. Rare.
